As a California girl, born and raised here, one of my favorite flowers is the California Golden Poppy. I do think it's funny that it's not "golden" but orange. Maybe they named it that just because it's the "Golden State". Maybe it should be called the Golden California Orange Poppy! Anyway, I love the use of complimentary colors to make both colors pop.
