My favorite books are The Chronicles of Narnia series by C. S. Lewis. I love the way they appeal to younger audiences as a fantasy story, but also to adults with symbolism. I started this painting with the intention of creating an abstract type version of a lion and it soon became apparent that it was, indeed Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia. His piercing eyes seem to look into you to see the real you inside.
